With Tony Westmore
PAINTING & SKETCHING
Saturday 31st August - 7th September 2019
We are delighted to welcome back Tony Westmore for more painting and sketching holidays in 2019. Tony has been drawing and painting since he was a child and has continued to improve and master his craft throughout the years. He can turn his hand to all subject matter but mainly focuses on country, rural, harbours, and maritime scenes. Tony loves to paint and sketch on location and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of scenes at Le manoir and on the day excursions.
Tony's work has been used for a variety of commercial projects and regularly exhibits. Painting in acrylics and watercolours in a British Impressionist, and sometimes semi-abstract style, Tony has exhibited works for over six years at the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA), and also at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours (RI).His marine and shipping subjects are to be found in collections across the world, hanging in shipping company offices, Royal Naval Wardrooms, Far East shipyards and in private collections. However, he is equally proficient in landscape subjects and has won first prize awards in this genre.
A further aspect of Tony’s career is teaching art. He runs painting classes and is an art instructor for P&O Cruises, Saga Cruises and Fred Olsen Cruises as well as Warner holidays. To see more of Tony’s work visit www.shippaintings.co.uk.
