This region of the Dordogne is famous for its wines.  St. Émilion, Bergerac, Pomérol, Bordeaux … and more.

We offer a free wine tour at a local vineyard, which takes about two and a half hours, and is extremely interesting (depending on the owner’s diary!).  See the process and progress of how your favourite wine is made, from grape to bottle.

Take a trip around the wine cellars in St. Émilion for an experience never to be forgotten, and try to include a trip up the tower (for fantastic views), or brave the catacombs for a different experience.

If you are not a ‘wine buff’, then local wine is widely available, at a lower cost than in the U.K.  For example, a litre of red wine can cost as little as 1.50€!  Even if your palette is well-developed, there is always something to tickle your tastebuds at a reasonable cost.
