Snow does not fall each winter in this part of the country, but when it does, everything is transformed into a living Christmas card! It can be cold, when the mornings are clear and crisp, and the skies are clear. If it is a bit nippy, you can sit and relax in the living room in front of the wood-burner and watch television. Sometimes, it is quite warm on Christmas Day, and the after-dinner stroll can be enjoyed in the sunshine. There are restaurants around where you can celebrate, but you may choose to remain at Le Manoir, and join in the Christmas and New Year meals**. Join everyone to watch The Queen’s traditional message at 3 o’clock on 25th December. Count down the seconds to midnight on 31st December, and wish everyone a Happy New Year! Whatever you decide, you can be sure of a memorable Christmas and New Year at Le Manoir.
It’s not too late to book your Christmas or New Year holiday. We cater for singles, couples, friends, families and groups, either Chambres d’hôtes or Self Catering. Spend a lazy time in front of the wood burning fire, or stroll to the lakes or through the woods.
Visit the surrounding area. There are several Christmas Markets in the area during the run-up to Christmas, so come early and taste the flavour of Christmas in advance! |
