We welcome you to stay at Le Manoir de Gurson, where you can relax, swim, fish, walk in the woods, explore, go sight-seeing and wine-tasting, visit the many tourist attractions in the surrounding area, and basically have a wonderful holiday doing exactly what you want.

When you step through the large wooden door, you will find yourself in the front hall, which leads to the kitchen, living and dining room and the rear hall.

The large fitted kitchen is fully equipped, with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, coffee-maker, kettle, fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher and a plentiful supply of tea towels. 

The lounge has a wood-burning fire, with reclining leather sofas, Sky TV with basic channels, DVD and video players (with large selection of over 200 videos and DVDs to suit all ages), and lots of games.  Walk through to the dining room, with its large wooden table and padded chairs.  Internet available.

The rear hall leads to the double bedroom, the garden, and the stairs.

Climb the stairs to the large landing, with a fantastic view over the lakes and woods.  The four bedrooms on this floor comprise 3 king-size and 1 twin room. Every bedroom has its own private en-suite shower/toilet facilities, where ‘Arctic Spa’ fragranced refreshing face towels are appreciated.  The Emerald Suite has a separate luxury bathroom.  All bath and hand towels are supplied, but not pool/beach towels, which can be hired if required. 

 

 

Further Information:

Step out of the rear hall onto the terrace, and look at the valley behind the garden, with the three fishing lakes and woods.  The pool has a Jacuzzi feature, and there is a paddling pool for toddlers.  This is a good place for a barbecue, too. 

Take a stroll down to the lakes, and see the newly-constructed Duck House on lake 2, or try your hand at fishing in Lakes One and Three.  We have a rowing boat which is available for our Guests (at their own risk).

Discover the Fairy Tree with its little door, cut into the hollow tree.

For the adventurous, there is canoeing nearby in Montpon-Ménestérol, with canoes and kayaks for hire at very reasonable cost, from half an hour to all day.

Explore the woods, and see the many flowers growing there, including wild orchids.  There is a golf driving range, in its infancy, where you can test your swing over 250 metres—you just have to collect the balls!

Whatever you choose to do, you should have a wonderful time at Le Manoir.
